    Struct PersistenceBackendDefinitionOption

    One selectable kind the Persistence row's in-window Create action offers: a concrete Serenity.Persistence.Installation.Installers.PersistenceInstaller subclass — a built-in one Serenity ships, or a custom one a project generated (e.g. through Service Extension Creator's InfrastructureSubclass style) — described for the reader and carrying whatever constructor arguments UnityPersistenceBackendActivator needs to build it, so the created Serenity.Global.Infrastructure.Settings.UnityPersistenceBackendDefinition asset activates without the reader ever typing a type name or an argument list by hand. Named by string, never by Type: this option is built inside the Create Game editor assembly, which cannot (and must not) reference the Persistence installation assemblies — the same constraint InstallTaskAuthoring.InstallerTypeFullName documents for the initialization-pipeline task facade.

    PersistenceBackendDefinitionOption(string, string, string, IReadOnlyList<string>, bool)

    Declaration
    public PersistenceBackendDefinitionOption(string installerTypeFullName, string displayName, string description, IReadOnlyList<string> constructorArgs, bool passCompanyAndProduct)
    Parameters
    Type Name Description
    string installerTypeFullName
    string displayName
    string description
    IReadOnlyList<string> constructorArgs

    Properties

    ConstructorArgs

    Declaration
    public IReadOnlyList<string> ConstructorArgs { get; }
    Property Value
    Type Description
    IReadOnlyList<string>

    The string arguments InstallerTypeFullName's constructor needs, in order, excluding an ILogService parameter (the activator supplies that one itself). Empty for a zero-argument constructor.

    Description

    Declaration
    public string Description { get; }
    Property Value
    Type Description
    string

    One line explaining what this backend kind does — drawn beside its pick in the row.

    DisplayName

    Declaration
    public string DisplayName { get; }
    Property Value
    Type Description
    string

    User-facing name for this backend kind, e.g. "File Backend".

    InstallerTypeFullName

    Declaration
    public string InstallerTypeFullName { get; }
    Property Value
    Type Description
    string

    The bare (no assembly qualifier) full name of the concrete PersistenceInstaller subclass this option activates — resolved at boot by UnityPersistenceBackendActivator's own ReflectionActivationUtils.ResolveType sweep.

    PassCompanyAndProduct

    Declaration
    public bool PassCompanyAndProduct { get; }
    Property Value
    Type Description
    bool

    Whether the created definition should prepend the running app's company and product name to ConstructorArgs at activation time.
